Entrust Joins SAP's Global Security Alliance With Leading Authentication Solution

Integration of Entrust IdentityGuard With SAP NetWeaver(R) Helps Advance Risk Management and IT Security Solutions

DALLAS, May 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Entrust, Inc. has joined the SAP Global Security Alliance in order to work together on solutions for customers with risk management and IT security requirements. As part of Entrust's commitment to this relationship, the company will exhibit at the upcoming SAPPHIRE(R) 2006 Paris held May 30 to June 1, 2006 at the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles.

The recent trend for business processes on open networks, as well as the growing number of business processes that are being deployed through portals such as SAP NetWeaver(R), is creating high demand for strong authentication solutions. Building upon the long-standing product relationship with SAP AG, Entrust plans to integrate Entrust IdentityGuard with SAP NetWeaver.

Under the alliance, SAP will provide a single point of reference so customers can easily obtain expert advice and acquire the cost effective solutions, while SAP industry expertise can help the customer decide on the most appropriate mix of methodologies, technologies and consulting skills. The result is a combination of products and specialized implementation and/or quality assurance services that can be packaged for customers, helping them face challenges such as security, authorization, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Entrust IdentityGuard is a comprehensive strong authentication platform for Internet and enterprise applications. This suite of strong authentication capabilities can help enable organizations to take a risk-based approach to tailoring their security deployments. The various flexible deployment options can help allow organizations to match strong authentication methods to the level of risk associated with different types of users, transactions and applications in an organization's environment.

"The extended enterprise is commonplace in today's global economy," said Hans Ydema, Managing Director of EMEA at Entrust. "Entrust is pleased to form a tighter relationship with SAP, a recognized leader in IT services and implementation, to help offer a flexible, risk-based authentication platform to address the increasing security requirements of global organizations."
