Workshare, a provider of secure enterprise file sharing and collaboration applications, announced today that it has been named as a niche player in the Gartner Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) Magic Quadrant report.
As one of the 19 Magic Quadrant vendors selected, Workshare was recognized for its ability to execute and completeness of vision.
Anthony Foy, CEO at Workshare commented, “We are very pleased to have been identified by Gartner as a niche player in the burgeoning file sharing and sync market. We believe being placed as a niche player matches perfectly with our vision and commitment to be a market leader, developing products that meet the specific requirements of semi and highly regulated industries.”
Gartner assert that “The enterprise file synchronization and sharing market is maturing, which will benefit IT leaders, and mobile and collaboration planners. EFSS capabilities continue to standardize, forcing players to differentiate mobile content and collaboration.” (Gartner: ‘Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing’, 2 July 2014, Analysts: Monica Basso, Jeffrey Mann and Charles Smulders)
Workshare’s EFSS capabilities form part of a wider document-centric collaborative ecosystem. As an agnostic hub, Workshare integrates with existing ECM and Document Management systems, and allows users to collaborate securely across devices both inside and outside the corporate firewall.
Over 62% of Fortune 1000 companies trust Workshare to securely collaborate on high-value content across geographically dispersed and increasingly mobile teams.
